Physx-enabled Cellfactor to appear on free download

AGEIA HAS RELEASED details about the upcoming launch of Cellfactor: Revolution, a Physx-enabled title.

The game will appear as a free download on May 8th and PC owners will be able to download and play the game. Ageia empowered two gamedev teams, Artificial Studios and Immersion Games to release a game that will utilise Physx capabilities.

Even though owners of ordinary PCs will be able to play the game, for real action, you need a Physx card. Ageia claims that the game will feature true-to-life physics and produce hyper-realistic cloth, fluid, and debris for enhancing the gameplay.

We have seen and played the game on couple of occasions and found it interesting, but a free price tag makes it grow in our eyes. With companies like Microsoft putting restrictions on free software and add-ons, it is interesting to see how the world of free software evolves.

With Ageia now set to popularise its own Physx processor with a respin of the chip, and making the grade in the world of PCIe and ExpressCard products, we hope that this title is just the beginning of new-generation of games that feature more detailed and game-enhancing physics.
